EN-AR-CO National NewsThe EN-AR-CO National News was a monthly publication produced by the National Refining Company for its customers. Started in 1890 by company advertising manager Frank B. Fretter, it is generally considered the second-oldest company newsletter. Fretter became president after J. I. Lamprecht’s death in 1920 and served until his own death in 1935. The small pamphlet was distributed free through dealers or by mail, and featured jokes, sayings, advertisements, free game offers, and various premiums. I hope you enjoy browsing these issues and gaining a glimpse into how the National Refining Company communicated with and supported its customers more than a century ago.Below are links for each month of the National News from my collection.
